Midwest Talent Search
Identifies the academically talented student through standardized testing. These students may be eligible to experience independent enrichment opportunities.
High School and Middle School Quiz Bowls
Designed to encourage students to master information in the areas of current events, language arts, social studies, math and science. Fostering teamwork and cooperation are additional goals of this program.
Artworks Day
Provides the opportunity for students in grade 5 to be exposed to a variety of careers in the art field. Presentations by professional artists in the areas of weaving masonry, flower arranging, cartooning, cake decorating, etc., will be provided.
Clue-Me-In
Focuses on the development of skills in the area of reading comprehension and recall. Teams of students work together to provide the best performance possible for their school in responding to questions about previously read books.
Book Lists: 4th Grade | 5th Grade | 6th Grade
Young Authors' Day
Promotes literacy provides enrichment activities in the area of creative arts. Prior to attending, students write books and then read them at Young Authors' Day. Students are exposed to presentations by professionals focusing on literacy in their careers, i.e., theater, storytelling, technical writing, newspaper writing, etc.
Science Olympiad
Provides students the opportunity to explore the world of science through active hands-on, group participation. all events involve teamwork, group planning, and cooperation. Events include bottle rocket, egg drop, the science of fitness, etc.
Middle School Math Meet
Heightens students' awareness of mathematics. Emphasis is placed on students gaining experience in working together to creatively manipulate numbers to solve problem.
